This is a unique opportunity to delve into the expertise of someone who led a cross-functional governance, risk and compliance program and drove real business value. Urs will be discussing the program from catalyst to outcomes and addressing typical challenges and best practice responses.
Urs Burkart has had an interesting and varied career to date, as a Financial Controller, Accountant, Financial Controls Manager and SAP implementation practitioner as well as an Ice Hockey professional! Along with his experiences in launching and guiding a global GRC program for a leading FMCG company, he has a perfect background from which to share his knowledge. Urs combines IT, business and finance experience with unique perspectives gained from working for Philip Morris International, Cap Gemini, Ernst & Young, Banque Cantonale Vaudoise as well as playing for the Kloten Flyers, EV Zug and HC Lausanne Ice Hockey teams. Urs was also a key player in the Swiss Ice Hockey team in the 1988 Winter Olympics.
This event will take place on the 11th February 2016. Urs will be joined by Dan French, Founder and CEO at Consider Solutions and a regular speaker on World Class Finance, control and compliance and risk management.
Whether a GRC program has several years on the clock, and needs revitalizing or there is a new initiative being planned this webcast will be a useful learning tool, providing a valuable insight and benchmark into how other companies have run GRC programs.
The event is free of charge and will appeal particularly to those in IT Governance, risk & control or Internal Audit, or anyone who is responsible for compliance with organizational governance policies and requirements.
