Access Intelligence’s OR Manager Conference and CLEAN GULF Conference and Exhibition have been identified as two of the top 50 fastest-growing tradeshows for year-over-year attendance growth, an honor that will be celebrated at the 2016 annual Fastest 50 Awards & Summit on May 25-27 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Winners were selected based on the highest percentage of growth in attendance. The OR Manager Conference grew 22% year-over-year, while Clean Gulf grew by 25%. The average growth in attendance industry-wide for 2015 was 1.3%, according to Trade Show Executive magazine.
The OR Manager Conference and Exhibition provides continuing education and leadership training to the executive-level management of the operating room in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
“Our marketing success can be attributed to really homing in on what motivates our particular audience, including selecting an appealing city and venue for the demographic, incorporating more content for professional development, designing themed networking opportunities, and implementing gamification through the mobile app with valuable prizes,” said Jess Tyler, show director for OR Manager. “The combination of market analysis and its direct application in our marketing execution allowed OR Manager Conference to retain 70% alumni participation in addition to attracting the largest number of first-time attendees on record.”
In its 26th year, CLEAN GULF brings together federal, state and local entities as well as the oil and gas community to aid in the prevention, response and recovery of oil spills on land and offshore.
“We found success in playing up our 25th anniversary in our marketing campaign and reinforcing that CLEAN GULF has served as the go-to event for spill response professionals for the last 25 years. Our marketing campaign focused on the role that CLEAN GULF has played for the spill response industry and the strong relationships it has forged,” Kayla Sparks, show director for CLEAN GULF said. “We also recognized the importance of re-positioning our brand and content to cover both offshore and inland oil spills. This was achieved by changing our event tagline to, ‘Inland. Offshore. Coastal - Solutions for Spill Preparedness and Response,’ and adding a dedicated track of sessions focused on inland preparedness and response.”
