Built with the frequent business and leisure traveler in mind, Thanks Again has teamed up with Comarch Inc., a global technology firm that specializes in the design, implementation and integration of advanced IT services and software, to craft an app to provide users at Burbank Bob Hope Airport with special offers and discounts through push notifications on both iOS and Android devices. The use of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons are used to improve in-store shopping experiences by enabling users to receive targeted offerings based on their current location and proximity to airport stores and restaurants. Digital marketing within the app is driven by the data collected, enabling Thanks Again to provide relevant ads and offers to each individual user.
With comprehensive functionality and ease of use, app users are able to select their favorite offers, scan for new offers and redeem when they wish. Furthermore, Comarch’s BLE beacons boast a security feature that prevents non-enabled smartphone apps from using signals from the beacons that were installed at Burbank Bob Hope Airport, giving it an edge above many of the beacons being installed at high-traffic airports and shopping malls nationwide.
The pilot app will launch and be available at Burbank Bob Hope Airport beginning on March 1. However, the full launch of the app will take place in April and will be available to all 100+ existing Thanks Again airports.
