Former Dymun + Company Partner Joins Elliance, a Pioneering Digital Marketing Agency
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) February 09, 2016 -- Craig Otto, known throughout the Pittsburgh region for his award-winning marketing, advertising and branding work, has joined Elliance as director of brand development.
In his previous position, he was partner/creative director for Dymun + Company. During his 28-year tenure with the firm, he was instrumental in helping Dymun grow into one of Pittsburgh’s top marketing and brand consultancies.
Otto started his career as an art director at Ketchum Advertising and has witnessed the industry undergo a profound transformation. He explains that, “the core creative team has changed. It’s no longer just an art director and a writer. It’s an art director, a writer, a planner, a developer, a social media strategist, an information architect and a data scientist.”
He has worked with a number of high-profile clients over the years – Bayer Corporation, Dollar Bank, Duquesne Light, Pittsburgh Paints, the National Geographic Television Series and Pennsylvania Tourism, plus many more – but is best known for the Eat ‘N Park Christmas Star commercial. Created more than 30 years ago, this commercial is still on the air during the holidays and has become one of America’s longest running television commercials.
“Craig joins Elliance at the perfect moment in our evolution,” says Abu Noaman, CEO of Elliance. “More than ever, customers are asking us to be more deeply involved in increasing their market value. We are thrilled to have Craig deepen and widen our amazing talent pool."
Over the years Elliance has evolved from just serving clients’ online needs – with website design, social media and search engine optimization – to providing branding, digital experience design, and integrated marketing.
Otto personally feels this is a great time to embrace new challenges.
“After 28 years in the same place, I needed a completely new way of working,” says Otto. “Elliance is a 20-year-old digital marketing agency that’s preparing for the eventuality, that in three years, people will no longer use the term ‘digital’ marketing.”
Otto earned his undergraduate degree in design from Carnegie Mellon University. He currently serves on the board of directors for the North Boroughs YMCA.
