EasyVote Solutions’ Cloud-Hosted Application Provides Gaston County Board of Elections with Best-In-Class Tool as Part of Election Modernization Efforts

“This really is a comprehensive system that will allow this office to operate more efficiently,” Adam Ragan, Gaston County Elections Director

In an effort to improve communication and more efficiently coordinate the selection, training, and scheduling of election poll workers, EasyVote Solutions’ EasyPollWorker software module was selected by the Gaston County Board of Elections for integration into its poll worker administration process.

“We are committed to conducting the best elections possible, and poll workers are critical for successful elections,” commented Adam Ragan, Gaston County Elections Director. “EasyVote’s poll worker management system provides new tools for the election staff and poll workers that will allow us to better schedule training, ensure the correct forms are completed, assign workers to polling locations, and share information with those workers.”

Prior to having this software, the Board of Elections had limited options to manage this process and required staff to piece information together through spreadsheets and paper files and spend countless hours making phone calls or assembling mailings. Now with EasyPollworker, the Elections Office offers a form on their website for interested citizens to sign up to work early voting or Election Day. The system provides staff with access to comprehensive electronic records to track applicants and records for existing poll workers regarding training, assignments, and work history. Through the software, Gaston County provides their poll workers with a secure website and individualized log in access to sign up for training, review information, and complete needed forms. Tools also allow for all parties to communicate easily through email, text messaging, and mail.

“This really is a comprehensive system that will allow this office to operate more efficiently,” Ragan said. “Better poll worker administration processes will carry over into other components and ultimately everyone involved will benefit – the staff, the poll workers, and the voters.”

EasyVote’s EasyPollWorker is just one module of the company’s Election Management Platform which also includes four other best in class applications: EasyInventory (manage equipment and supplies), EasyFocus (election project management), EasyCampaignFinance (candidate filing and disclosure), and EasyCheckIn (voter verification, on-site registration and absentee voting management). EasyVote’s Election Management Platform, designed specifically for elections offices, is built upon a combination of cloud-based and mobile software platforms.

EasyVote’s platform ensures the highest levels of data security, eliminates burden on IT department to host and support the software and implementation, and training can be completed in just a few days.
