Bit Stew Systems Releases MIx Developer Network (MDN) Enabling Customers and Partners to Develop Applications Purpose-built for the IIoT
Burnaby, BC (PRWEB) February 08, 2016 -- Bit Stew Systems, a global leader in Software Defined Operations for the Industrial Internet, announced the general availability of the MIx Developer Network (MDN), a fully functional development environment that provides access to tools, technologies and support that extends the value of the MIx product portfolio to quickly build applications for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
The MIx Developer Network is a cloud service offered to Bit Stew’s customers and partners. The general availability of the MDN follows the beta release that has already been in production use by Bit Stew customers and partners such as AusNet Services, Blackstone Technology Group, DB Results, OSI Consulting, Greenbird Integration Technology, and a few of the largest California utilities.
Building a community of innovators to bring time to value for the IIoT
The MDN environment enables developers to rapidly build applications, or MIx Apps™ that can be tailored to industry-specific use cases by leveraging the best practices, sample code, and plug-in library available to the MDN community. The MDN supports developers to create new and innovative capabilities – from insightful visualizations of complex data relationships to entirely new applications with logic and workflow.
“The outdated practice of developing expensive applications over long build cycles is being replaced by agile development practices that allow developers to add new value iteratively as more data sources are ingested and analytics are applied,” said Mike Varney, Executive Director, Strategic Initiatives and Product Management. “Bit Stew’s MIx Developer Network brings together all the necessary tools, technologies and support required to develop purpose-built applications for the IIoT in days, not months, moving industry closer to achieving Software Defined Operations.”
Introducing Bit Stew University (BSU)
Bit Stew has also opened enrollment to the Bit Stew University (BSU), an online learning environment that provides formal certification and training programs for members of the MDN. BSU allows users to maximize technology investments by gaining the skills and knowledge needed to optimize installation, integration and customization of the MIx product portfolio. Through the BSU, Bit Stew’s customers and partners will learn everything they need to know to build their own applications using the MDN and MIx technology.
