The Boys & Girls Club of Collier County Hosts 4th Annual Youth of the Year Celebration with Celebrity Guest Viola Davis
Naples, Florida (PRWEB) February 09, 2016 -- The Boys & Girls Club of Collier County will celebrate the extraordinary achievements of 20 local Boys and Girls Club members on Monday, March 14, at the 4th annual Youth of the Year Celebration. Celebrity guest, Viola Davis, winner of an Academy Award, Tony Award, Golden Globe and SAG Award, will host the presentation of awards at the Youth of the Year event. Davis is also an actress and producer, well known for her role in the 2011 film The Help and current role in the ABC drama How to Get Away with Murder.
The event will be held at Artis–Naples, 5833 Pelican Bay Boulevard, at 5:30 p.m. Twenty youth nominees, ages 14 to 18 will be recognized for displaying outstanding leadership, service, academic excellence, moral character and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle during the past year. Through a presentation of speeches, Youth of the Year candidates will illustrate how they have turned their aspirations into actions and overcome personal obstacles to achieve success. Viola Davis will announce the local 2016 Youth of the Year winner and the recipient will advance to compete on a statewide level for the opportunity to receive up to $50,000 in college scholarships and an induction by the President of the United States.
Several sponsorship packages are available for businesses interested in participating in the Youth of the Year celebration. The various levels include:
The Arts: $300 for a half-page advertisement or $500 for a full-page advertisement in the event program.
Fitness & Recreation: $1,000 includes a cocktail reception, reserved dinner and program seating for one and recognition in the event program.
Education & Career: $5,000 includes a cocktail reception, reserved dinner seating for four with a Youth of the Year nominee, reserved program seating for four, recognition on website and event program, half-page advertisement in event program and inclusion in all marketing materials.
Character & Leadership: $10,000 includes photo opportunity with Viola Davis, a cocktail reception, preferred dinner seating for eight with a Youth of the Year nominee, preferred program seating for eight, recognition on website and event program, full-page advertisement in event program and inclusion in all marketing materials.
Hope & Opportunity: $25,000 includes photo opportunity with Viola Davis, a private VIP cocktail reception, preferred dinner seating for ten with a Youth of the Year nominee, preferred program seating for ten, recognition on website and event program, full-page advertisement in event program and inclusion in all marketing materials.
Tickets to attend the Youth of the Year (program only) are $50 per person. All proceeds raised will support the Boys & Girls Club five core program areas.

About Youth of the Year
Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club teens. Club members who earn the youth of the Year title embody the values of leadership service; academic excellence; and healthy lifestyles. They exemplify the critical impact that Boys Girls Clubs have on the lives of young people. Local Clubs recognize members ages 14 to 18 as Youth of the Month Winners and select a Youth of the Year, who then participates in state competitions. State winners each receive a $5,000 scholarship and advance to regional competitions. Regional winners receive an additional $10,000 college scholarship, renewable for four years up to $40,000. Six youth, including five regional winners and a military winner, advance to the National Youth of the Year competition for a chance at an additional scholarship of $25,000, renewable up to $100,000 for four years. The National Youth of the Year represents all Boys & Girls Club youth.
