DoubleDutch, the global leading provider of mobile event apps and event performance analytics, today announced it has appointed Marlin Scott as Vice President of Engineering. Marlin will be responsible for overseeing DoubleDutch’s various software engineering teams and helping to lead the development of the company’s new and existing products.

In this new role Marlin will define the strategy and provide oversight for various software engineering teams, recruiting and mentoring engineers to launch new products and support existing technologies, driving leaders and engineering to innovate and adopt processes more quickly, and building a culture of collaboration.

Marlin joined DoubleDutch last year as a director of engineering with more than 25 years of experience in consulting, engineering and product leadership across a variety of sectors within technology including mobile and telecommunications. Prior to joining the company, he was director of mobile at middleware software startup 2lemetry, CTO and Co-Founder of Tylr Mobile and also held leadership roles at IT consulting firm Appirio.
