We’re very close to being 50% faster with 35% less water usage when using the Switcher versus a rotational or fixed nozzle combination.

By eliminating the need to swap nozzles mid-job, the Warthog WGR Switcher does the job of two tools in one. This means less runs, proven to save time and water.
Joe Schotthoefer, proprietor of Doetsch Environmental Services in Warren, MI, has worked extensively with the WGR Switcher for water main jetting. Before the Switcher, he would typically start a job with an initial jetting run to clear debris off the walls of the pipe. He would then retract the hose and make a second run with a different nozzle or head that could more effectively move the debris that had gathered at the bottom or invert of the pipe.
Unlike other tools in the industry, the Switcher features patented technology that enables you to switch between two distinct tool functions – while the tool is in the pipe. Whenever the pump is idled down and brought back to pressure, the tool will switch the water flow between two different sets of jets. The pulling/flushing jet pattern directs maximum power to the rear jets in order to pull the tool quickly to problem areas or flush debris backwards out of the pipe. The cleaning/descaling jet pattern directs power out the side jets to do the tough work of cleaning deposits, cutting roots, etc.
“We can now use the same nozzle in either cutting or flushing mode,” reported Joe Schotthoefer. “We’re very close to being 50% faster with 35% less water usage when using the Switcher versus a rotational or fixed nozzle combination.”
Warthog sewer tools have long been recognized as the professional’s choice for municipal, industrial, and commercial drain cleaning applications. The Magnum series, released in 2014, raised the bar for tool durability and effective handling of recycled water without sacrificing jet quality in poor water conditions. Joining the Magnum family, the WGR Switcher is truly a game-changer in the industry.
The new WGR Switcher navigates pipes 8 to 36 inches in diameter and handles pressures up to 5k psi at up to 100 gallons per minute. The WGR Switcher is available in both 1" and 1.25" inlet options. For customers who already own Warthog WGR Magnum tools, the Switcher head can also be sold separately.
