Saint Louis, MO (PRWEB) February 10, 2016 -- Recursive Labs announced today the issuance to it by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) of a patent that covers secure Internet co-browsing – something that is becoming a greater component of proactive customer experience service models.
The patent for invention number 9,256,691 is for the systems and methods for enabling an Internet co-browsing experience for multiple users.
“This patent makes claims in connection to rendered image-based co-browsing that form the foundation of our entire collaboration platform,” said lead inventor Brian Handrigan, Founder & Chief Innovation Officer of Recursive Labs. “It establishes a foundation for secure co-browsing that includes in-stream redaction and low-bandwidth compatibility,” Handrigan added.
The patent covers the technology used in Recursive Labs Realtime co-browsing product serving a broad range of industries including financial services, healthcare, hospitality, government, etc. This new method to co-browse, requires no software downloads and renders the active web experience of the Host to an Image that can be narrowcast to 1 or thousands of Guest(s).
Co-browsing has recently been included in the Gartner® Customer Engagement Hub, and sits in an ascendant class of technologies known as the “Collaborative Customer Interface.” Ultimately, it allows company representatives to see through their customers’ eyes when providing sales or tech support as well as host training sessions for thousands of viewers with a common collaboration platform as opposed to multiple (sometimes downloaded) tools.
“Realtime formed the core of our platform, but what is most exciting about this patent is where it can take us in the future,” said Bud Albers, President and CEO of Recursive Labs. “When we look at the evolution of Realtime to Replay – a no-download short form interactive video generation platform for training, social posting, enterprise collaboration and advertising – things get really interesting, we empower people to share and learn on their schedules; giving them back their most valuable commodity… Time,” added Albers.
