Richard Harrington announces new company aimed at helping reach the creative market

ThinkTAP, a startup located in the Washington, D.C. metro area, will help companies sell to creatives by developing branded educational content.

Using state-of-the-art digital technologies, ThinkTAP’s branded content, portals and events will drive creativity and brand engagement for its customers.

“Our mission is simple: To unite creative artists, aspirational learners, and top manufacturers in a community that educates and inspires its members though the power of creativity,” said CEO and ThinkTAP founder, Richard Harrington.

The company will create and deliver apps, books, conferences, live events, podcasts, websites, software and other tools to help aspiring creatives at all levels pursue their craft aimed at helping companies that serve the creative space reach more customers, more effectively, and efficiently. The new company is rolling out a complete suite of services by Q2, 2016.

“We have already been serving visual creatives for nearly 20 years in a variety of businesses we helped create,” Harrington said. “ThinkTAP just takes this next step of building a dedicated, one-stop client services company that helps manufacturers, distributors and software makers find information-hungry visual artists and creatives who want to expand their skills and their income.”

Harrington has seen evidence that creatives are eager to learn. “The need for education is greater than ever. Creative professionals want to learn the skills and techniques of top professionals and master the latest in software and equipment. Even students and amateurs demand new ways of learning that teach relevant and essential skills.”

ThinkTAP will work with manufacturers, distributors, and software developers, in conjunction with established industry thought leaders and influencers, to create content that educates, informs, entertains and inspires creatives who are the natural customer base for the services and products these companies sell. ThinkTAP will also offer consulting services and expert insight to help manufacturers, distributors and software developers shape product development.

ThinkTAP has engaged with industry luminaries in the fields of photography, video and design to create educational materials and platforms that meet the needs of today’s creative professionals.
