Leader in Multichannel Management Software Deepens Amazon Integration and Adds VP of Client Services to Growing Team

Today, nChannel, the leading provider of multichannel management software that simplifies selling for merchants, is announcing upgrades to its multichannel management platform that aims to help merchants turn their business into a marketplace. The National Retail Federation reported that online sales grew nine percent during November and December, and some experts say Amazon was responsible for nearly 40 percent of those online sales between November 1 and December 6. Similarly, for nChannel customers that sold through multiple channels in 2014 and 2015, Amazon sales grew by 68 percent while Amazon order count increased by 206 percent.

“With the continued growth and power of Amazon, merchants today recognize the importance of being where customers are, but while there are benefits to listing products on individual marketplaces, there is also a cost to selling this way,” said Steve Weber, President & CEO of nChannel. “By neglecting to offer purchase power via the merchant website, merchants are missing out on an important opportunity to serve customers in any channel and still control inventory, fulfillment and selling costs. By serving as a strategic partner to these merchants, nChannel is helping them differentiate themselves in the market while helping them become their own marketplace.”

In order for this vision to become a reality, sellers must integrate product information management, distributed order management and inventory management, which can be costly and complicated endeavors. With nChannel’s enhanced services and features, all merchants will have the same tools as market leaders, and will be able to offer a better multichannel experience. The new capabilities include:

  • Deeper Amazon Connector – nChannel’s Connector Library integrates a seller’s existing systems with nChannel’s multichannel applications to create a single, powerful platform that provides cross-channel efficiencies and richer, more detailed insights. The enhanced Amazon integration enables real-time item listing with verification, order management, and inventory and ship status feeds. nChannel also integrates with Shopify Plus, Bigcommerce, NetSuite, eBay, Magento, as well as nearly a dozen leading point-of-sale and ERP/accounting software publishers.
  • Inventory Management – The new capabilities allow merchants to track inventory within the nChannel platform and synchronize it across multiple sales channels, including brick & mortar, online, a merchant’s website, popular marketplaces, and more. Displaying accurate inventory in real-time across multiple channels is a key requirement for merchants that want to offer a marketplace-like buying options and service.

Previously, Silwani served as Customer Executive as well as Director of Solution Consulting for GXS (now OpenText), a leading provider of B2B Integration Services. He was also Vice President of Integration Services and Global Outsourcing for Sterling Commerce.
