Ann Nugent’s new book, Dominance, ($10.99, paperback, 9781498424929; $5.99, e-book, 9781498424936) is the author’s true-life story of abuse, domestic violence and survival. At age six, she was raped. At age 15 she got married and faced domestic abuse. By the age of 27, she had 5 children and 3 miscarriages. She prayed to God to help her and her children abound to a better life. Coming home one night to see her child beaten severely she made the hardest decision any mother can make out of love for her children. With no money and no help, she put her children up for adoption to allow them to have a better life. She is proud of what she did and what she eventually accomplished – so she is sharing her powerful story to help everyone suffering from abuse to know there is a way to move forward.
“Domestic violence is someone controlling your life,” states the author. “I hope readers will gain hope and strength to find their way out of abuse! No matter how bad things are, there is a better life!”
Ann Nugent endured abuse and domestic violence from the age of 6 to the age of 35. Her cries for help went unanswered. With strength, courage and positive thinking, she survived and moved forward with her life. Her story is an inspiration to all who read her book. She is a survivor.
