Record Low Gas Prices Offer Ohio Valley Manufacturing and Power Opportunity
Hannibal, Ohio (PRWEB) February 16, 2016 -- Niagara Worldwide’s, former Ormet Aluminum Smelter facility, sitting atop the Utica and Marcellus reserves, is strategically positioned to benefit both top line manufacturing facilities and power plant developers. The abundance of local untapped natural gas and oil reserves at unprecedented low prices, along with the sites strategic location and existing industrial infrastructure offers many development opportunities.
Eric Spirtas, Owner of the property and President of Niagara Worldwide, the International Redevelopment company managing this sites repurposing says, “The historically low natural gas and oil price has created immediate interest from some of the world's largest manufacturers. Fortune 500 companies are interested in buying or leasing our land, building state of the art facilities and installing captive power producing turbines that would run off of local gas and oil" says Spirtas, "Our 180 degree shift from oil field processing support to becoming a manufacturing and power production destination is obvious", adds Spirtas.
To best support site manufacturing and power plant development, five infrastructure ready locations have been earmarked, at the Hannibal Development site, as ideal for power plant development. The combination of limitless water and existing electric and gas transmission lines makes for rapid industrial implementation.
The former Ormet Aluminum Smelter, now called "Center Port Terminal", is located directly on the Ohio River featuring two full service dock facilities, twenty Corp certified and active mooring cells that accommodate fifty two barges, and twelve active miles of captive rail privately serving through to the Northfolk Southern Railroad. Onsite water treatment, gas, electric and water is currently available to the over 300,000 sq of ready building and administrative offices.
For the next 90 days Niagara Worldwide and it’s Executive Management Team, on behalf of Hannibal Development will review current Center Port Terminal proposals for manufacturing and power plant installation. It welcomes additional proposals and stands ready to work with new Local, State, National and International partners to advance this property to it’s maximum potential.
