NASA Goddard Space Flight Center’s Applied Technology Engineering Directorate awarded ASRC Federal Technical Services (ASTS) the Software Engineering Services II (SES II) contract. ASTS will support the Software Engineering Division (SED) by providing software engineering and information systems technical services, including on-orbit operations through the decommissioning of NASA programs and projects. The single-award, cost-plus-fixed fee, $273 million contract has a potential five-year period of performance.
“This work leverages our successful history of providing software development and engineering services for Goddard Space Flight Center, a highly valued-customer” said Mark Gray, ASRC Federal president and CEO. "We will apply our experience in flight, ground and science data software development and sustainment to help the SED achieve its mission.”
The SED focuses on the development of reusable flight and ground architectures and frameworks to reduce mission cost, decrease development time and increase the scientific value of information products.
