TicketManager Welcomes Sports Industry Veteran Troy Tutt as Revenue Lead
Calabasas, CA (PRWEB) February 17, 2016 -- TicketManager, provider of online tools and mobile applications helping globally known companies better use sports tickets while avoiding common pitfalls, announced Troy Tutt has joined the firm as EVP of Revenue. The firm makes the announcement amidst reporting record growth and expansion into the New York and Chicago markets.
A fourteen-year veteran of the sports industry, Tutt joins TicketManager from the PGA TOUR, where he served on the Tournament Business Affairs team out of headquarters. Tutt was an integral part of the new Tournament Revenue initiative implementing revenue best practices for tournaments and creating the TOUR’s newly created Inside Sales team providing revenue resources nationally. With TicketManager doubling headcount in 2016, Tutt is tasked with building a world-class team while maintaining and growing momentum in the scorching hot enterprise software-as-a-service (Saas) market.
Founded in 2007, TicketManager provides online applications and mobile apps to AT&T, Verizon, MasterCard, American Express, Wells Fargo, Under Armour, and thousands of globally known companies enabling them to track the return on investment of investments in sports tickets, sponsorships, and customer entertainment initiatives.
"TicketManager is expanding quickly into new and exciting markets,” said Tony Knopp, Co-Founder and CEO of TicketManager. “When we sat down and identified who our targets were to lead this growth, Troy was at the top of the list. His proven and well-regarded track record of building sales teams and growing revenue for some of the best brands in the world make him a fantastic addition to our executive team."
The addition of Tutt comes on the heels of the company’s Series B capital investment and a growing list of recognitions such as inclusion in the INC 5000, the 100 Fastest Growing Companies and the 100 Best Places To Work in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal, and LA's 24 Hottest Start-Ups, amongst others.
“The growth of TicketManager has been remarkable," said Tutt, who first met the company when partnering together during his tenure at the Cleveland Cavaliers. "To be able to join a team of this caliber and take the revenue growth to the next level is something I’m extremely excited about. We’ll have an immediate plan to open an office in New York City with a heavy focus on recruiting the best sales talent in sports and SaaS enterprise. I’m honored to join the TicketManager family.”
Tutt’s experience growing revenue teams extends back over a decade and includes some of the world’s most well-known brands. Prior to the PGA TOUR, Tutt served as Executive Director, Premium Sales & Service for the iconic New York Yankees. Troy headed up the team charged with all premium inventory in the Major League Baseball Club's landmark stadium. Tutt was charged with helping create a newly formed sales culture across the premium and ticket sales and service teams. Troy started his career at the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena, where he led the Cavaliers partnership with TicketManager in 2010.
“There are so many clichés about the importance of people in a startup…and they’re all true,” said Knopp. “2016 is an exciting year for TicketManager. And this is just the beginning.”
