TotaLand Technologies Emphasizes Efficiency and Encouragement at Winter NAPE
Lafayette, LA (PRWEB) February 23, 2016 -- TotaLand Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates L.L.C. (Fenstermaker) specializing in land acquisition software, recently attended the NAPE Summit conference in Houston, TX. “The Force” was with all in attendance at NAPE (North American Prospect Expo) who were preparing for an improved economy in 2016. Over 11,000 dealmakers, investors, and professionals came together at the George R. Brown Convention Center Feb. 10-12. TotaLand Technologies was one of numerous booths spotlighting efficient land acquisition software and giving away “Star Wars” themed SWAG (Stuff We All Get) encouraging “The Force” to be with landmen and brokers during the downturn.
TotaLand’s light Sabers, software, and positive energy lit up NAPE which was sponsored by Chesapeake Energy, CUDD Energy Services, drillinginfo, EnergyNet, Enertia Software, Houston Energy, LLOG Exploration, Macquarie, J.P. Morgan, Nutech, Raymond James and Steptoe & Johnson.
Alan Day, CIO of Fenstermaker and President of TotaLand said, “NAPE had a phenomenal turnout with many uplifting reports for a successful 2016. At TotaLand, we encourage landmen through the highs and lows and anticipate the economy turning around.” Day noted that in January, Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway purchased another 2.5 million shares of Phillips 66 stocks for almost $200 million. Day said, “With continuous purchases, Buffett appears to be looking forward to an upward surge in the oil and gas economy.”
The TotaLand team encouraged landmen and brokers with positive reports such as one by T. Boone Pickens, billionaire oil tycoon, who predicted an increase in the price of oil. In January, Pickens appeared on CNBC’s “Mad Money” with Jim Cramer to talk about the future of energy for the United States in light of the current market and state of global affairs. Pickens predicted, “We are close to the bottom. I was just a year off. We will be back to $70 to $75 by the end of the year. The world is currently using approximately 95 million barrels a day, and is oversupplied by about 1 million barrels of oil.”
Therefore, Pickens does not believe that it will take much to balance the market. When that occurs, the price of crude will move up fast.
TotaLand even gave away NAPE Special Edition Landman Survival Guides titled “Awaken the Landman’s Force,” finding inspiration from the latest Star Wars movie, “Awaken the Force”. For those who did not get their copy, a free eBook can be downloaded from TotaLand's website.
Others at NAPE showed their enthusiasm. Brad Torry was quoted as saying, “The energy on the Exhibit Floor has been tremendous. It’s a much larger turnout than we expected. There has been lots of optimism for what’s to come.” Torry is the director of Geotechnical Marketing, Western Hemisphere for TGS.
NAPE hosted speakers that discussed the shale revolution, industry expectations for 2016, and the outlook of the current political landscapes and emerging technologies.
“It’s critical that oil and gas companies have a thorough understanding of not just domestic, but international factors that could affect future development,” said Jeanine Haller Piskurich, Chair of the NAPE Operators Committee. “We’re pleased to offer international and domestic presentations for the first time at the NAPE Summit Global Business Conference.”
Several predicted upswings in the economy including Oil and Gas This Week podcast guru and President of modalpoint, Mark LaCour. LaCour sees barrels climbing to $60 by October. As president of modalpoint, LaCour provides cross-functional experience in sales, marketing, research, business development, and operations, all focused on the oil and gas vertical market. LaCour has helped close millions of dollars of business with companies like Chevron, BP, Shell, ExxonMobil, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, Transocean, Cameron, and more.
Found on iTunes, Oil and Gas This Week podcast is for busy oil pros who want to quickly keep their fingers on the pulse of the industry. Each week, James Hahn II, Founder & CEO of Tribe Rocket Inc., and LaCour cover headlines from sources like Reuters, Bloomberg Business, CNN, CNBC, BBC, Wall Street Journal, and Forbes.
TotaLand’s President Alan Day and Marketing Specialist Michele Day had the privileged of meeting up with LaCour at NAPE, where they were interviewed for the Oil and Gas This Week podcast. Alan Day talked about the efficiency of TotaLand software saving brokers and landmen time and money. “It’s especially important during the downturn to plan for the future when the economy picks up,” he said. “Many of our clients promote TotaLand as an efficient way to save time and money eliminating hours of paperwork and redundancy.”
In addition to cutting deals and making money, NAPE raises funds and awareness for brave soldiers who served in Afghanistan and Iraq. Several soldiers were helped through NAPE donations including Sergeant Jeremy Nicholson, whose vehicle exploded while deployed. Nicholson sustained injuries including broken ribs, shattered knee joints, torn ligaments, and second and third-degree burns. Jason Morgan, soldier and father of five, became paralyzed after his Special Forces team was ambushed after parachuting into a target zone. According to the U.S. Department of Defense, over 42,000 American soldiers who participated in Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and New Dawn have come home maimed, blinded, and disabled. NAPE Summit hosted the American Heroes Luncheon where participants contributed $350,000 to wounded veterans through the NAPE American Heroes Fund.
During the NAPE conference, the TotaLand team, Melissa Jackson, Senior Technical Account Manager, and Jamie Castille, Account Manager, were honored to meet Major Yancy Baer and his service dog, Verbena “Beanz”, who represented Canine Companions at the NAPE Expo in February. Over seven years ago, Baer of the United States Army, lost his leg from injuries in Iraq. Yancy also experienced injuries to his right arm, back problems and memory and hearing loss. While attending recreational therapy after his amputation, Baer heard about Canine Companions for Independence. Soon after, Yancy was matched with Service Dog Verbena, also known as “Beanz”. Baer said, “Beanz’s positive effects on me started immediately after we were matched together. I no longer rely on sleeping medication to help me sleep. I’m less stressed and overall a much happier person!”
Summit NAPE showed the strengths of individuals and companies within the oil and gas industry. Even in a downturn, people continue to give and lift up the military and each other promoting a strong “force” that cannot be weakened.
TotaLand Technologies, was founded 10 years ago to provide a software solution to eliminate paperwork for landmen, realtors, and wind energy by providing a platform to electronically manage leases, produce drafts, status reports, LPRs and other reports.
