Leading Administrative Professionals’ Association Launches New Certification ProgramPACE Certification Gives Admins Valuable Training and Visible Credentials
Portland, ME (PRWEB) February 17, 2016 -- The American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP), the largest free association and resource center for administrative professionals and executive assistants, has re-launched its popular Professional Administrative Certificate of Excellence (PACE) program, transforming it from a credit-based certificate program into an exam-based professional certification.
The new PACE Certification is a comprehensive, relevant education program designed to give admins the critical skills and expertise they need for continued professional growth. Addressing the expanding role of today’s admin, the PACE Certification content gives the most driven and dynamic professionals the training and career development they seek, along with a valuable professional credential. And the designation gives employers an easy way to find and recognize top talent.
“All too often the expertise and contributions of administrative professionals go unrecognized and unrewarded,” said Judy Geller, Executive Director of ASAP. “ASAP members have told us that there is a need for a modern, relevant, and affordable certification for administrative professionals; we listened, and ultimately evolved PACE into a true professional certification. This is a way for admins to gain a critical edge in terms of professional development, workplace credibility status, advancement, and salary.”
The Certification program includes a digital Study Guide containing materials and sample test questions for each of the four Proficiency Modules. The four Proficiency Modules are: Interpersonal Communications, Task and Project Management, Computer and Internet Technology, and Management Skills. The $349 tuition includes the Study Guide, training videos, and supplementary exam prep materials.
PACE enrollees can expect to spend approximately six to nine months completing the program to earn the certification. This includes fully reviewing the Study Guide, viewing the training videos, and taking the 90-minute exam.
Certification holders are required to complete ongoing continuing education requirements every two years to maintain their status. This ensures that the letters PACE at the end of a title will always signal mastery of the most current and relevant admin skills needed to excel in today’s corporate environment. PACE is a member of the Institute of Credentialing Excellence.
