Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) announced today that the first pharmacy successfully achieved certification under the PCAB Certification Program for Canadian Compounding. Torrance Compounding Pharmacy, which provides non-sterile and sterile compounding services, demonstrated compliance with the industry’s highest standards, including USP 795 and USP 797 requirements.
“ACHC has offered compliance solutions in the U.S. for more than 29 years,” said ACHC Associate Director of Pharmacy, Jon Pritchett, Pharm.D., RPh. “We applaud the team at Torrance Compounding Pharmacy for their efforts to become the first Canadian pharmacy to achieve PCAB Certification. The steps taken to achieve Certification serve to provide an added measure of quality and safety assurance for physicians, payors, and patients alike.”
