Since announcing its partnership with Netflix last June, Marriott Hotels has already taken the appropriate measures to enable their guest room’s high-definition televisions to stream popular movies and shows for its Netflix and Hulu subscribers. Now becoming a brand standard, the initiative has begun to include its luxury sector, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C.
The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey is one of the first hotels in the Los Angeles market to embrace the entertainment upgrade as part of its guest room enhancement project that will wrap up later this month. The hotel has most recently increased its wireless coverage in order to be compatible for streaming, and by early-March, guests will be able to access their Netflix and Hulu accounts as an additional option on their television menu. Guests will only be required to sign into their account once during their stay and all information will be removed automatically upon check out.
“We are excited to be adding this entertainment component as part of our guest room renovation that will allow our visitors to enjoy their favorite shows in their home away from home,” says the hotel’s General Manager, Tony Mira.
Now guests can enjoy their favorite shows on their TV rather than an iPad or mobile device
Netflix has over 65.6 million subscribers globally, with plans to expand in China and 150 countries. Since its launch in 2008, Hulu has nearly 9 million subscribers and is among the top ad supported online video site.
