The World Council of Churches is preparing for a new outreach program entitled Youth in Asia Training for Religious Amity (YATRA). Designed specifically to deliver the Word of God and the Gospel for Asia’s many countries and citizens, this two-week program features an excellent opportunity for young Christian leaders to learn more about Asian religious traditions as well as learning first-hand how interfaith cooperation can lead to spreading the Gospel for Asia, including its many distant corners and forgotten areas and peoples.

As the Programme Executive for Inter-Religious Dialogue and Cooperation, Dr. Peniel Rajkumar will be instrumental in organizing and directing this valuable seminar that joins emerging Christian leaders and advisors with different churches throughout Asia. Their chief goal is to strengthen the foundation of Christian outposts to more effectively foster the distribution of the Lord’s Gospel for Asia in order to bring salvation to the people of its many nations. Registration is now open and will end on March 4th.

This important and life-changing event will be held in Jakarta, India from 29 May to 11 June, 2016. This course will be open to participants ranging in age from 20 to 35 years, capped out at a maximum total of 32 young devoted missionaries, in order to ensure the best results and experience for all involved members. An additional key goal that is anticipated to be met from this special conference will be to provide a broad representation of the WCC member churches in Asia.

This is an excellent opportunity for upcoming church leaders to immerse themselves in a curriculum that includes a variety of learning styles, including experiential, interactive, and intercultural methods with a focus on investigating justice and peace concerns using a clear and focused inter-religious angle.

Enrollees will find themselves established as mentors within local churches, while also leading ecumenical councils and seminaries. These experiences will go far in assisting these upcoming new leaders in learning how to positively inspire and influence the ideas and concepts of WCC throughout broad faith-based communities.

For any person who wishes to travel to parts of the world where the local people are spiritually hungry and seeking the Word of God, this is the perfect moment to proliferate the Gospel. For Asia, this represents the chance for new local Christians and believers to gain guidance from strong and devoted young counselors who can offer soul saving guidance and support while honing their own skills in delivering the Gospel for Asia, Africa, and other continents in need.

Enrollment information and all required forms have been made available on the WCC website.
