Wordsmith Platform Turns SKU Data Into Web-ready Product Descriptions

Automated Insights (Ai) today announced it will demonstrate a new software product for automating the writing of product descriptions at eTail West, the premier conference for e-commerce and multi-channel retail professionals. Ai will showcase how its Wordsmith platform automatically turns SKU data into unique, engaging product descriptions, allowing a single marketer to generate thousands or even millions of individual product descriptions in minutes.

Conference attendees can experience a personalized demonstration of Wordsmith at eTail West booth 103, and can reserve time for a demo before the conference by visiting

As part of the company’s involvement in eTail West, Automated Insights is serving as host and moderator for the Content and Personalization track on Feb. 24, featuring sessions with leading e-tailers in home improvement, fashion and media, among others.

“Smart e-commerce companies are always looking to automate more of their business,” said Dan Dillon, Ai’s director of marketing. “Product description writing has remained a costly, time-consuming and largely inefficient process. Wordsmith’s ability to automate the writing process changes all that, empowering retailers to produce engaging descriptions on a massive scale that sounds like a person wrote each one by hand.”

eTail West, takes place February 22-25 at the JW Marriott in Palm Springs, CA and is expected to draw 2,500 attendees representing 1,300 retailers.
