“Young men have been arrested and destroyed, and teenage students have been endangered while the real criminal has knowingly remained unscathed” Phillip J. Jusino, New York criminal defense attorney/former prosecutor

Boulevard Books and author and radio show host, Frank Vetro, are embarking on a new campaign to bring awareness to the corruption depicted in Standing on Principal, the well-documented account that melds the fictional Fatal Attraction with the real life Duke Lacrosse and Penn State Scandals.
Frank Vetro was the young and beloved high school principal in Hampton Bays, NY. On February 8, 2006 his promising future came to a screeching halt as he was arrested and thrown in jail for what authorities publicly described as an act of terrorism. “I became fodder for a prosecutorial system that found 15 minutes on television and a quote on the front page more beneficial to their agendas then the truth”, Vetro states.
Fluctuating between a narrative and detailed court records in People v. Frank J. Vetro, 1st District Court, Central Islip NY Docket numbers 2006SU007542-7548, Vetro provides a first-hand account of an innocent man in the N.Y. judicial and educational systems.
Vetro fought back and recreated his life after being hired by a priest. He works with the courts and school districts on Long Island, educating students who have been arrested, kicked out of school, and need a second chance. “I’m hoping to make at least a small change by ensuring that the youth that make mistakes do not have to bear them their entire lives.”
Frank also hosts two radio shows, “Standing on Principal” and “The Frank Vetro Show”, broadcast live on 103.9 FM LI News Radio and WLINY.com. He’s a mentor, life coach, and public speaker. He shares his tragic yet inspirational story in hopes of helping others and spurring change.
