Inspired by Jay Z's "Hard Knock Life Tour" that brought together Roc-A-Fella, Def Jam & Ruff Ryders artists, "Now or Never Indie" will become the new voice of indie hip hop.

This project will inspire a much-needed dialogue on what it means to be hip hop.

Teambackpack affiliates Flawless RI and Passionate MC, Pentagon Records’ R-Mean, Stevie Dub, Young Kasper and Halow, along with hip hop's greatest legends, are performing at 18 "Now or Never Indie" showcases across the country including SXSW. Bridging the gap between underground and mainstream hip hop by releasing a series of mini-movies documenting the journey taken by independent hip hop artists on the road and inspired by Jay Z’s “Hard Knock Life Tour” and his classic “Backstage” documentary, the "Now or Never Indie" tour will share the underground hip hop community’s behind the scenes stories with a mainstream audience.

Filmed by Redeye Movies and sponsored by BREAL.TV, The Liquor Cabinet Radio, SupaCali, Skydiver’s Club, Bhrama Bull, 7percenter, Sanguine PR and “Ready Set Impact,” a global multi-media firm located in Hollywood, CA, the tour officially begins on the West Coast March 10th and will later hit the East Coast on August 10th.

The series, documentary and soundtrack are a glimpse into the lives of 6 highly respected hip hop artists, some known and recognized worldwide, some on the brink of mainstream success with or without a label, and some just starting out. This project will inspire a much-needed dialogue on what it means to be hip hop.
