Distributed Technology Group (DTG), a leading Systems Integrator, EMC partner and storage solutions provider, acquired by Accunet

Chapman Associates, a mergers and acquisitions firm with focus on the IT sector, announced that Distributed Technology Group (DTG), a leading storage solution provider servicing the upstate New York market, has been acquired by Accunet. Chapman represented DTG in this M&A transaction.

“We have succeeded in becoming EMC’s top partner in upstate NY and continue to grow our storage practice and customer base” said Mark Matheson, Founder and CEO of DTG. “We have reached a point in our maturation as a company where we needed to expand our capabilities to include network, security, and compute. Becoming part of Accunet Solutions instantly gives us the expanded expertise to provide our customers with end-to-end solutions. We are also thrilled that our company cultures are very synergistic.”

Accunet provides complete life cycle management solutions in network, security, storage, and data center and has a nationwide presence.

“We are very excited to have DTG as part of the Accunet Solutions team. DTG has done a fantastic job of architecting and delivering enterprise-level storage solutions to their existing and new customers in upstate NY. The acquisition strengthens our storage practice and expands DTG’s capabilities which will now include network, enterprise security, and data center,” said Alan Dumas, CEO of Accunet Solutions.

“Cristian Anastasiu and Chapman Associates brought deep domain expertise in the IT space and did an excellent job of helping us to narrow down the list of interested parties and guiding us through the acquisition process”, added Mark Matheson.

“Mark has built an organization with a strong customer focus and great relationships, which made DTG a desirable candidate for companies interested in growing their footprint and acquiring complementary skill sets and management talent. I expect the current consolidation wave in IT services to continue and companies who can differentiate themselves will be in high demand” commented Cristian Anastasiu, Managing Director at Chapman Associates, who specializes in IT mergers and acquisitions transactions.
