CoCo is the current and future head end platform of Quadriga, delivering high speed data and IPTV services over the Coax network. The solution effectively converts a coax network into a full IP infrastructure, enabling hotels to respond easily and cost-effectively to the growing guest requirements for faster upload and download times and the need to access bandwidth-intensive services and applications such as video-streaming.

After initially installing in some of Finland and Sweden’s most prestigious hotels back in 2014, Quadriga have further improved their knowledge of networks to continue offering an excellent service, for properties including Rivoli Jardin Helsinki, Radisson Blu Marina Palace Turku, Renaissance Malm ö and Hotel J, totalling just over 500 rooms. Most of these installs include integration with Sensiq, allowing guests to have the best quality of experience from their TV as well as their internet access, all with great feedback from the customer.

The CoCo head end is superior to the previous (PMD) or any other solution. It is a very high quality enterprise level solution with no moving parts and is completely isolated so it can work in rougher and hotter environments such as a typical hotel communications room. The latest software releases include a web based GUI / setup / debug tool where we can see the status of every connected device and the networks values, which is a great step for Operations. The CoCo is also fully integrated with the NOC and configurable and maintainable remotely.

Andrej De Godzinsky, Regional Manager for the Nordics, is delighted with the progress of CoCo: “CoCo is a great possibility to enhance the guest experience and connection speeds using the existing coax network with minimal investment. Quadriga is one of the only providers that has been doing this already for some time and has the experience in all cases as a one stop shop.”
