Powerful Health Analytics Platform Provides Actionable Intelligence to Maximize Quality and Lower Costs

Qualmetrix, Inc. establishes a new, multi-year collaboration with UHealth - the University of Miami Health System to provide a comprehensive population health management solution through its SaaS based health analytics platform.

In the post Affordable Care Act (ACA) era, the healthcare industry continues to develop its use of health information technology (HIT) to maneuver through multiple systems and abundance of data. HIT’s value proposition now evolves beyond clinical documentation and reimbursement to facility care management and reduction in medical expenses.

UHealth, the clinical arm of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, is no stranger to the challenge and the opportunity to maximize HIT to improve the quality of care it provides in an increasingly complex healthcare landscape, especially as the region shifts to more risk and value based contracts. UHealth will leverage Qualmetrix’s healthcare analytics platform to manage the organization’s value-based agreements through comprehensive analytics that evaluate the relationships between risk stratification, clinical utilization, and resource optimization.

“We are delighted to add UHealth to our growing base of forward-thinking clients,” said Lawrence Schimmel, M.D., CEO of Qualmetrix. “Their vision directly aligns with our solutions. We look forward to working with the UHealth team to ensure their patients continue to receive the best healthcare experience with the best health outcomes.”

UHealth is only one of many healthcare providers that have recently adopted the powerful Qualmetrix platform for its multi-stakeholder visualization and 360-degree view of cost and utilization. Qualmetrix continues to expand its reach across the nation with five new collaborations announced in the last six weeks.

“UHealth anticipates using Qualmetrix’s integrated data and detailed data visualizations to provide important insights and high quality, actionable information to help direct critical health care resources and help us deliver on our increasing numbers of value-based initiatives,” said John Sory, the Chief Executive for the UHealth Regional Alliance. “We are excited to launch this multi-year relationship and leverage the data and insights immediately.”
