L.L. McAllister, an award winning author, has completed his new book “Little Red School House”: a gripping and potent piece of literature that is dark and enticing.
L. L. McAllister graduated from Portland High School and headed straight into the military before the draft chased him down. For the next 22 years he traveled the world to places like North Africa, England, Europe, Asia, and the Southern U.S. He didn’t decide to become a writer until his later years after he became a military historian and joint winner of the historian of the year award for all of the military.
A father of three, he is also an accomplished artist and currently the engraver for William Schick, Hall of Fame, Cue Maker. He meticulously scrims all the work needed on Mr. Shick’s outstanding pool cues. He has also completed scrimshaw work on knives and created jewelry that has traveled to foreign countries as well to buyers here in the U.S. His Christian ethics show in much of his wildlife and western creative art and writing.
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, L.L. McAllister’s gripping and exhilarating work of fiction is one that readers won’t be able to put down until the very end!
A dark-robed preacher cries out in agony against a maniacal force attempting to destroy him and all he loves. Held hostage against a flaming wooden floor in the belly of a fiery church hidden away in a forgotten valley, his voice travels to the snow-covered mountains of Washington State and Arron who look’s on in anguish as Anna falls into a deep trance and begins to recite a story lost to humanity and concealed in time. As her tears fall, Clovis is sent to search out rumors of things slipping into the dreams of the innocent children of Portland, Maine. While the wrinkled face of the Master and the wizardry of the unholy alliance, once again walks the streets of Portland, Clovis is thrown in with Carolitus to search out the truth. A young boy is added to the unlikely duo as they head off to the wastelands of Wyoming to find the truth of an age old myth and, perhaps, the box they all search for. Yet deep in the hallways of time, as the metal clad warrior-translator lays injured, three young people, running for their lives, take on the beast that would destroy all they know. Michael, Mary, and Jami escape old Scotland aboard a ship headed to the New World and a church-school created by the hands of tiny human beings from another land, and lost in an obscure valley. But don’t forget; Old Bill and Ruth are also there.
