Allentown, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) February 25, 2016
The annual flower show, now in its fifth decade, has been completely redesigned for 2016. Floral design, landscape design, DIY demonstrations and unique home products have been skillfully blended together in a unique, engaging way, designed to invigorate and inspire visitors. Held in Allentown Agri-Plex (aka “Ag Hall”) at the Allentown Fairgrounds Complex, this year’s focus will be on creativity in landscaping, and will provide a canvas for some of the Lehigh Valley’s most established landscapers to demonstrate their skills.
Unlike any show in the past, this year’s show has been masterfully designed by landscape professionals in such a way that the visitor is gently guided from vignette to vignette, more like an interactive exhibition than a simple flower show. Even the entryway has been designed to look like the entrance to a gated community.
In fact, the entirety of Ag Hall will be transformed into a mock “community” whereby every landscape artist has added their unique flavor to the overall exhibit. Also being offered are a wide variety of presentations by professionals, with such enticing titles as: “Attracting Wild Birds”, “Butterfly Gardens” , ”Bonzai” , ”Perennial Gardening,” and “Plants of the Bible.” Two presentation stages, the “Rose Stage” and the “Sunflower Stage” will be in continuous use by presenters for the duration of the show’s run.
Blending traditional, contemporary and abstract design, there is a style for everybody at this year’s show. Within the “community” visitors will be treated to stone waterfalls, koi ponds, flowers of every variety, hardscaping, landscaping and even live animals. Visitors will be encouraged to reimagine their own back yards, and invigorated by the sights and sounds of spring. Dozens of merchants will also be on hand, offering a plethora of products for the home and garden.
Along with the show itself, the marketing and promotional efforts supporting this year’s show have also been overhauled. Officially renamed the “Lehigh Valley Flower Show” and boasting a new logo, new website and aggressive advertising campaign, the show’s promotors are hoping to attract a record-breaking 10,000 attendees for 2016.
Steeped in rich tradition and with an eye towards the future, the Lehigh Valley Flower Show is raising the bar in hopes of invigorating all of the Lehigh Valley, while providing a welcomed escape from the colorless, cold days of winter.
The show coordinators would like to thank Belgard Products, ABE Landscape Supply and ABE Fencing for making the show possible through their generous contributions and support.
