An experienced clinician and healthcare technology executive, Barrett will continue providing data-driven insights to help the nation's top health systems meet their quality and safety goals.

Symphony Corporation (, a global, outcomes-based healthcare technology solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Jeffrey Barrett as Chief Data Officer. Originally trained as a registered nurse, Barrett has spent the past 20 years improving healthcare outcomes by managing data quality and optimizing clinical applications. At Symphony, Barrett will be responsible for leading the company to help healthcare providers meet their quality and safety goals through technology-enabled workflow.

Barrett previously served as the Chief Information Officer at Philipsburg Area Hospital, and most recently worked for Geisinger Health System as Director of Decision Support Technologies. Among his proudest accomplishments has been leading a clinical innovation team working to close more than 250,000 evidence-based gaps in care, contributing to over $25,000,000 in improved financial performance over the first three years of the program’s existence. He brings this experience to Symphony in order to achieve similar outcomes for the company’s clients.
