The Security Industry Association (SIA) will host a panel discussion, “Challenges and Opportunities to Protect and Ensure Safety for America’s Schools,” in cooperation with the Congressional School Safety Caucus on Wednesday, March 2, from 12-1:30 p.m. at B-338 Rayburn House Office Building.

The tentative agenda for the event includes opening remarks from Reps. Susan Brooks, R-Ind., and Rick Larsen, D-Wash., co-chairs of the Congressional School Safety Caucus.
The discussion panel consists of school safety and security experts:
- Timothy Eckersley, SIA Board Member and Allegion PLC, Moderator
- Dr. Erroll G. Southers, University of Southern (USC) California
- Dr. Paula Maurer, Superintendent, Southwestern Consolidated School Corporation, Indiana
- Robin Lambert, Rural School and Community Trust

The panel discussion will be followed by a question and answer period and finally closing remarks from John Chwat of the Electronic Security Association (ESA).
