Swing Thought Granted Event Exemption to Price Cutter Charity Championship
Myrtle Beach, S.C. (PRWEB) February 27, 2016 -- The Swing Thought Tour proudly announces today that the Web.com Tour’s Price Cutter Charity Championship has once again granted an exemption to the Swing Thought Tour for the 2016 season. The 2016 event will mark the sixth year in a row to award the #1 developmental tour in the USA exemption into the event. Since the start of the 2010 season, the Swing Thought Tour (formerly the NGA/Hooters and eGolf Tours) has secured over 50 Web.com and PGA Tour event exemptions for its members, the most for any developmental tour in the country. Although the Swing Thought Tour has been the leading developmental tour in receiving event exemptions since 2010, the Swing Thought Tour does not have any official affiliation with the PGA TOUR or Web.com Tour.
“We help aspiring professional golfers achieve their dreams of playing at golf’s highest levels, its what we do,” stated Swing Thought Tour president Robin L. Waters, PGA. “We provide our players the best opportunities of participating in some of the best events on the Web.com Tour. The game of golf is all about opportunities and The Price Cutter Charity Championship has been generous enough to provide another great opportunity for our aspiring professional golfers.”
The Price Cutter Charity Championship is one of the oldest and most storied events in the tour’s history. Held at Highland Springs Country Club in Springfield, Mo., the Price Cutter Charity Championship is joined by Boise, Idaho, Knoxville, Tenn. and Wichita, Kan., in having hosted an event on the number two tour every year since 1990. Swing Thought Tour alumni have won four Price Cutter Charity Championships including Justin Bolli, Steve Friesen, Chris Wilson, and Andrew Svoboda in the past seven years. In addition, Swing Thought Tour alumni Richard Werenski, earning full Web.com status from 2015 Q-school, placed tied for 51st at the 2015 Price Cutter Charity Championship. The Price Cutter Charity Championship is scheduled for August 11th thru 14th, 2016.
