Best of Louisiana Outdoors to Recognize Best in the State's Outdoors Industry
New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) March 03, 2016 -- Following up on the success of last year’s groundbreaking event, the Best of Louisiana Outdoors is back for its second year teamed up again with Don Dubuc, Louisiana's widely celebrated outdoors personality, to host the 2nd annual event and to serve the mission of bringing recognition to the businesses and professionals of Louisiana's outdoors industry who are excelling in their fields.
This year's Best of Louisiana Outdoors ("BOLO"), presented by the Louisiana Charter Boat Association, is a widely promoted survey that offers Louisiana’s passionate sports fishermen and women the opportunity to choose and recognize the people, products and services that significantly contributed to their experiences in 2015.
The website— http://www.BestofLAoutdoors.com —serves as the platform of the 3 month event, and now at the beginning of the third month, all the votes are in and being tabulated and nominees ranked.
The final ballot included nominees from the major categories of Best in Boating, Best Guides, Best Bait & Tackle, Best Marinas, Best Apparel and Lagniappe.
Bruno Prager, co-founder of Best of the Louisiana Outdoors, describes the event as a great way to celebrate the outdoors community in Louisiana, offering opportunities for businesses to gain exposure and the community to support its favorites—and win some great prizes, too.
“The focus this year has been reaching outside southeast Louisiana. The more people and businesses who participate, the better—not just for the popularity of the survey but for the benefits to all involved. It's a win-win for the outdoors community, for all the nominees and for the industry as a whole," said Prager. "Last year it was great to see winners’ certificates framed on walls in offices, lodges and marinas, and even displayed at boat shows across the South," he said.
"This year with a final vote count above 67,000, and with more than twice the number of voters than last year, the awards presented next week have that much more weight behind them, and the businesses have already received that much more exposure." Prager notes that much of the success of this year's poll is a result of partnering with key organizations in the state. "We have accomplished this through the title sponsorship of the Louisiana Charter Boat Association, support from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, CCA Louisiana, Outdoors with Don Dubuc and our other sponsors, and through the efforts of BOLO's tenacious staff," said Prager.
The winners of the Best of the Louisiana Outdoors 2015 will be recognized this month via http://www.BestofLAOutdoors.com, outdoors radio, social media and the awarding of the actual certificates.
The online event continues through March and visitors who register on http://www.BestofLAOutdoors.com are being rewarded by an impressive array of prizes, including another offshore blue water charter trip with lodging, an inshore charter trip, top-brand marine electronics and more. More than $12,000 in prizes will have been given away in random drawings by the end of March. Details on the prizes can also be found on the BOLO Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/camnola.
