Following the recent events at Kids Company, charities are under increasing scrutiny around their financial management. So it makes great efficiency sense to move away from unreliable spreadsheets and use automated platforms like Prophix
(PRWEB UK) 29 February 2016
Prophix Software, a global leader in Corporate Performance Management (CPM) software, announced it will exhibit at Charity Finance Group’s key conference for finance and IT professionals in the voluntary sector.
The agreement will see Prophix attend the IT and Data Insight Conference in London on March 2nd. The conference is CFG’s largest IT-focussed event of the year and will provide circa 130 finance directors and those responsible for IT in their organisations the opportunity to stay informed on key topics, network and share best practice. Prophix will be networking and discussing technology and data issues with leaders in the voluntary sector throughout the day.
Prophix also plans to expand its partnership with CFG throughout the year and take an active role in the CFG’s regular networking events and other knowledge-sharing events.
Charity Finance Group (http://www.cfg.org.uk/), founded in 1987, represents over 1,350 charities in the UK, with a collective financial turnover of over £21.1 billion. A charity itself, CFG offers financial professionals in the not-for-profit sector the chance to attend events and training programmes to help develop their leadership and finance skills, as well as network and share best practice with peers. Also, CFG is active on a number of key policy areas and works with regulators and government to ensure the issues facing the sector are understood and reflected in policy.
Prophix has a strong track record in the charity sector and has built a significant NFP customer base both in the UK and globally. Prophix software helps charities improve the efficiency of their financial and operational processes, by streamlining budgeting, planning, reporting and consolidation tasks. Not only this, but Prophix also helps address the unique challenges faced by charity finance teams, such as SORP and SoFA regulatory requirements, impact reporting and specific donation tracking.
Daniel Mason, UK Managing Director of Prophix, adds: “Partnering with the CFG on this event is a perfect fit for us. Now, more than ever, following the recent events at Kids Company, charities are under increasing scrutiny around their financial management. So not only does it make great efficiency sense to move away from unreliable, complex spreadsheets and use automated platforms like Prophix, it is practically a fundamental requirement for transparency. We’re looking forward to working with the CFG to help share our best practice and vice-versa.”
