London, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 2 March 2016 -- New 2016 seminar brochure now available.
The Consumer Goods and Retail team at SGS United Kingdom Ltd have a vast combined knowledge of the problems and challenges faced by the retail sector in competing in a global market. It was with this in mind a few years ago that the team decided to offer training seminars to the retail buyers, merchandisers and technologists so that they could better understand the pitfalls and their responsibilities either directly or indirectly to the consumer. Since then, the list of subjects has grown and the frequency of seminars has increased.
Most recently, the team has produced its most comprehensive brochure yet including prices and dates so that interested parties can see the portfolio available and make choices more easily.
With an ever more competitive market place whose demands are for greater safety and security, the pressure is on the retailer to meet the needs of an ever more aware consumer who is in turn is more likely to press for answers and information about the products they buy. To ignore these demands is to write off sales in that region and in the worst case risk the possibility of prosecution, recalls and fines.
SGS CRS in the UK has tailored these seminars specifically to answer those questions, shed light on the reasons for the demands and hopefully share an insight in to what the consumer may reasonably expect from the products offered to them.
The seminars are deliberately pitched so as not to blind the attendees with science but to explain the subjects in a clear and concise manner to make the listener more comfortable with what can be a daunting array of legislation and standards. The subjects covered are many and varied from a simple introduction to the knitting process or the appreciation of colour, to the chemistry of dyeing or the more onerous understanding of legislation such as the General Product Safety Directive.
There is quite a list of possible subjects of interest and we can deliver most of them in locations such as Ealing or Leicester and some even in Ellesmere Port.
For those who can’t make the journey, SGS is in many cases prepared to bring the seminar to the client and deliver it to the staff as a whole if this proves to be more convenient.
