Dr. Ada Nwachuku to welcome new and follow up patients on beginning March 4, 2016

The providers and staff of American Spine are very pleased to announce the opening of their newest satellite location in Silver Spring, Maryland. The new office is located at 10313 Georgia Avenue, Suite 201, Silver Spring, Maryland 20902.

Dr. Ada Nwachuku, who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as pain management, will welcome new and follow up patients on Fridays from 8am to 4pm beginning March 4, 2016.

“We are adding the Silver Spring office to accommodate not only the new patients in Olney and Silver Spring, but also those patients coming to us from DC, Bethesda, Chevy Chase and surrounding areas. We are very excited to open our doors in an area so accessible to our referring physicians and hospitals,” says Dr. Sandeep Sherlekar.

Dr. Nwachuku obtained her medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a traditional osteopathic rotating internship at Long Beach Medical Center in Long Beach, NY. She completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Nassau University Medical Center, East Meadow, NY where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. This was followed by a Musculoskeletal/Interventional Pain fellowship at Rehab NY in Amherst, NY. She also obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from New York Institute of Technology.

Dr. Nwachuku strongly believes that patient care is a team effort and the goal is to return the patient to maximum functionality. While she treats an array of pain issues, her special interests include lower back pain, neck pain, and joint related pain. She utilizes a combination of interventional pain procedures, pharmacotherapy, therapy to restore biomechanics, as well as other conservative measures to achieve a higher quality of life for her patients.
