New Report from Journyx Reveals Time Tracking Challenges, Insights in Dynamics GP
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) March 07, 2016 -- Today Journyx releases a new report that delves into how users of Microsoft® Dynamics GP are utilizing time and expense tracking together with the Dynamics enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
The report, titled 2016 State of Time and Expense Tracking for Microsoft Dynamics GP, is based on the results of a December, 2015 survey of 114 Dynamics GP users and takes a closer look at the requirements, challenges, costs, and benefits that Dynamics GP users experience today, particularly with regards to time tracking. The survey was commissioned by Journyx and conducted in partnership with MSDynamicsWorld.com.
"Our experiences with time tracking for Dynamics GP and talking with users show that there are definitely challenges with this crucial business process and gaps that need to be filled," said Curt Finch, CEO of Journyx. "We developed and commissioned this survey in order to better understand Dynamics GP users and their time tracking needs."
A key finding in the report shows that 64 percent of survey respondents have a need to track time in their organizations, yet 53 percent do not have a time tracking solution in place. Those who do use a time tracking solution find that it just meets their business needs, rating their solutions an average of six out of ten.
Another finding reveals that 36 percent of respondents who were using a time tracking solution did not integrate it with Dynamics GP. Reasons for this include:
• Did not know that the time tracking software could integrate with GP
• Their software does not integrate with GP
• The time tracking solution needs to sync with other relevant business systems
The survey also asked Dynamics GP users what their biggest pain point with time tracking in their organizations was. The respondents' top gripe? Getting time sheets submitted on time.
"We have known for a long time that getting employees to fill out and submit time sheets is a huge issue at many companies we talk to," said Finch. "No matter what ERP or time tracking system is used, it's definitely a universal problem, and this survey response certainly confirmed that further.
"We're actually asked on a regular basis, 'How do we get our people to submit their time sheets' Because of this, we developed several resources to answer those cries for help, including videos, blog posts and a white paper.”
