Picsera’s Head of Education Earns Prestigious Craftsman Degree From the Professional Photographers of America
North Miami, FL (PRWEB) February 29, 2016 -- Digital photography assistant Picsera is excited to announce that its very own Head of Education, Janice Wendt, was awarded the Photographic Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographers of America. As Picsera’s Head of Education, the organization felt Wendt had used her position to better the industry overall. The degree was presented to Wendt by PPA President Michael Timmons at the association’s annual Imaging USA convention, held Jan. 10 through 12, 2016, in Atlanta, Ga.

"Advances in technology have given us so many amazing tools and software applications to help us improve our images. Things that we do today would never have been possible just five years ago. As an artist trying to stay at the top of my game, I can honestly say that the possibilities are endless. I am grateful for the Photographic Craftsmen award and to be a part of the Professional Photographers Association of America, where I will continue to learn and share my knowledge with other passionate photographers."
Like many degrees distributed every year from institutions of higher education, the craftsman award is much more than a fancy piece of paper. It recognizes Wendt's consistent high standard of excellence and commitment to her field. Specifically, the craftsman degree is awarded in recognition of service to the profession as either an orator, author, or mentor. As one of the organization's most prestigious awards, the degree encapsulates her unique set of skills, expertise, accomplishments, and talent. With more than 30 years of experience in nature, commercial, wedding, and portrait photography, Wendt is truly a professional at her craft.
Wendt is also the leader of a growing team of digital imaging artists. She has mastered photo editing programs such as Perfectly Clear, Nik Collection, Alien Skin, as well as other Photoshop and Lightroom Plug-ins. When she's not working to move the industry forward, Wendt likes to spend her free time taking pictures of nature and landscapes with her Nikon D800, a converted infrared Nikon D7000, and a Fuji X Pro 1.
