Nerd/Noir To Host Agile Developer Workshop This April In Atlanta
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) March 03, 2016 -- Nerd/Noir will host a three-day Agile Developer Workshop at TechSquare Labs, April 11-13, 2016. The workshop will focus on adopting approaches from Behavior-Driven Development(BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Domain-Driven Design (TDD), and more.
Nerd/Noir co-founder David Laribee will present a curated set of techniques that conspire to solve real world problems facing developers designing new features, and struggling with existing code. Over the course of three days, attendees will engage in hands-on experience peppered with lightning talks, demos, case studies, and group discussions.
After coaching over 100 development teams, Laribee has found elevating a team’s technical skill has a profound effect on a business’s agility. Says Laribee: “A big problem is the over-abundance of silver bullet solutions. There’s a lot of good distributed over name brand approaches, but synthesizing and applying the best parts of these practices represents a monumental learning curve.”
The workshop will help attendees understand the value of emergent design and build a go-to toolkit of design principles and patterns. They will leave confident in their ability to test-drive new products and features, with a clear plan on how to take new learnings back to their teams.
"The workshop was a transformative experience. It helped me self-actualize a better development practice," says Joe Ortiz, a developer at CareerBuilder.
