Complete Discovery Source Launches Identification and Auto-Redaction for Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

Complete Discovery Source (CDS), a leading eDiscovery provider, today announced that it has added auto-identification and redaction capabilities for Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Personal Health Information (PHI). Built into CDS’ Relativity platform, this software automatically identifies key forms of PII including social security numbers, employer identification numbers, and financial record information. Once identified, data can be automatically redacted to ensure compliance with US federal legislation including HIPAA, HITECH, and the Federal Privacy Act as well as with strict cross-border regulations.
CDS’ auto-redaction offering also enables users to perform mass redactions across keyword searches, speeding the eDiscovery process when dealing with vast data stores. CDS also offers new software that enables users to apply redactions to native Excel files. By using these auto-redaction capabilities, clients will benefit from significant cost savings over traditional redaction workflows.
