Vertafore, the leader in modern insurance technology, today announced a partnership with information provider Martin & Company to include M&C’s database as part of the industry’s only integrated insurance search engine, ReferenceConnect® information solution. The addition of this public information will allow ReferenceConnect carrier, MGA, and broker clients a new capability to access filed and approved Department of Insurance (DOI) rules, rates, and forms nationwide. The benefit of accessing this information in the ReferenceConnect search engine improves productivity for users of ReferenceConnect, eliminating the need to search through multiple sites or DOI databases. The competitive analysis capability now available through access to this filing information will be a tremendous advantage to insurance executives trying to understand how their products compare.

“The value of combining publically filed personal and commercial lines information in 50 states combined with the aggregation of bureau content from ISO, NCCI, and AAIS is a tremendous value add for our customers,” said Dave Acker, vice president and general manager, Information Solutions at Vertafore. “We see this as a major advance for the ReferenceConnect product, which is currently used by over 3,000 agencies, 250 carriers and MGAs, and 94 of the top 100 U.S. Brokers.”

“During the past 20 plus years, we have been building our company to satisfy our clients’ requests for easy access to this information,” says Paul P. Martin, president of Martin & Company. “We believe our new partnership with Vertafore to aggregate into ReferenceConnect takes us to a new level of brand equity and growth potential due to the footprint and pervasiveness of the ReferenceConnect product in the independent agency channel”.

Vertafore and Martin & Company have already started development on this integration and expect to be ready for market release in early third quarter of 2016.
