Lake County, Illinois Home Day Cares Sued for Alleged Sexual Abuse

In Waukegan, the mother of two young girls is seeking a judgment against Maria E. Hernandez, who operated a licensed home day care in Waukegan, Illinois. In October 2014, it was alleged that the girls, ages 14 and 9, had been repeatedly sexually abused by Jose Hernandez-Tovar, the defendant’s spouse, while at her home day care. Three miles away in Park City, Adam Contreras is accused of having assaulted two young girls, while under the care of his wife at her home day care Alejandra Contreras, the operator of Jasmine’s Day Care, is being sued for damages resulting from alleged negligence that resulted in the repeated sexual abuse of the children, ages 14 and 7, one of which suffers with a disability, which came to light in December 2012.
