World's first online store specialising in museum publications is launched
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 8 March 2016 -- Museum Bookstore (Museumbookstore.com), an online store specialising in exhibition catalogues from across the globe was today launched. Museum Bookstore is the first online store specialising in museum publications. Alongside catalogues from world-famous museums such as MoMA, the National Gallery and the Louvre, the store carries books from smaller and lesser-known museums like Santa Fe’s Museum of International Folk Art and the Simone Handbag Museum in South Korea.
"Museums produce some of the most thought-provoking, informative and beautiful books but they can also be heavy to carry and difficult to track down particularly for past exhibitions. The idea is to create a single place that draws together exhibition catalogues from museums from across the globe - a go-to place for museum lovers whether they want to read up on an exhibition they are about to visit; read more about an exhibition being held far afield or revisit an old favourite show.
"All to often shopping for books online can be bit of a soulless experience. I want Museum Bookstore to combine the flexibility of the internet; the convenience of home delivery with the warmth, service and personal touch of a specialist bookstore", said Founder, Caroline Keppel-Palmer.
Museum Bookstore (Museumbookstore.com) was founded by Caroline Keppel-Palmer and is based in London. Prior to Museum Bookstore, Caroline worked with major museums helping to mount exhibitions. In 2014, she founded the social enterprise, Museum Freecycle - the world's first industry Freecycle group - which encourages reuse and recycling in the UK museum sector.
