SMA To Hold Its Annual Women’s Health Conference This July
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) March 11, 2016 -- Southern Medical Association (SMA) will hold its accredited CME conference, Focus on the Female Patient, July 18-21, 2016, at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island, a barrier island near Charleston, South Carolina. The 4-day conference offers interprofessional education designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, midwives and other healthcare professionals caring for women.
The Focus on the Female Patient conference is chaired by Veronica K. Piziak, MD, PhD, FACP, Emeritus Director, Division of Endocrinology and Director of Scott & White’s Diabetes Center in Temple, Texas. This year marks the 27th year of Dr. Piziak’s leadership over this program.
“Our conference offers an overview of the newest developments in women’s health including diagnosis and therapy of common problems in your patient population, and specialty topics in both Internal Medicine and Obstetrics/Gynecology," according to Dr. Piziak. “The faculty is available during the meeting and at breaks and is happy to answer your questions about problem cases. Plus, the location is ideal for your family to spend time on a beautiful, safe beach and home to thousands of hatching sea turtles each summer.”
New this year, SMA offers registrants a conference special featuring four outstanding benefits including online access to the peer-reviewed publication, Southern Medical Journal, air-evacuation coverage from AirMed Travel Insurance, educational discounts and access to a library of recorded lectures via the SMA website. No other conference offers such value in addition to quality, certified CME.
