The Location Based Marketing Association (LBMA), an international group dedicated to fostering research, education and collaborative innovation at the intersection of people, places and media, is hosting its third annual, one-day event, RetailLoco, on Sunday, March 13th from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Taking place at Capital Factory, the conference will deliver insights and trends on the latest in mobile and location-based tools and techniques for retailers.
Through RetailLoco, LBMA aims to bring together retailers and service providers of all sizes to help those engaging location-based services be as successful as possible. The event will feature panels on indoor location, proximity-based payments, in-store digital signage, push notifications, metrics/analytics, augmented and virtual reality and much more.
With more than a dozen panels and keynotes, the conference will give attendees the opportunity to hear from industry luminaries including Brendan Wright from Walmart Labs, Julie Augustyn, director of real estate at Office Depot, and Arlie Sisson, VP, Emerging Products at Condé Nast.
“We’re thrilled to bring together a variety of retailers and industry providers for the third time,” said Asif Khan, founder and president of LBMA. “We hope this conference showcases the best practices in location-based marketing and that attendees walk away with a plethora of information on how to make their businesses succeed.”
In addition to its networking and educational opportunities, the conference will unveil the LBMA’s global research study report findings on brand advertising intentions and investment in location-based technology in 2016, the results of which will illustrate the importance of LBM as a top-of-mind business issue for executives across many global industries.
Happening in conjunction with the first week of SXSW, RetailLoco encourages new and existing players in the space and press of all kinds to attend LBMA’s annual event. Registration for SXSW badge holders is free, while members pay the discounted price of $99 and non-members pay $249. To register and learn more about RetailLoco, head to retaillo.co/thelbma.
