@properties Continues North Suburban Expansion With New Northbrook Office
CHICAGO (PRWEB) March 08, 2016 -- @properties, the largest independent real estate brokerage firm in Illinois and the fastest-growing brokerage firm on Chicago’s North Shore, is continuing its swift expansion throughout the northern suburbs with the opening of an office in Northbrook.
Located at 1330 Shermer Rd., in the Village Green Shopping Center, the office is west of Waukegan Road and south of Dundee Road. According to @properties co-founders Michael Golden and Thaddeus Wong, it is a temporary office and a permanent location is under construction at 1312-18 Shermer Rd. Wong said the permanent office will occupy the entire ground floor of a new three-story development, which includes 10 luxury apartments and 2,400 square feet of retail space .
@properties currently houses 23 brokers in the new office and expects to grow rapidly over the next year, according to Natasha O’Connor, vice president of brokerage services for the Northbrook office. The company is already the No. 2 brokerage firm in Northbrook by market share and the largest independent brokerage firm in the area.
According to data from BrokerMetrics LLC, the Northbrook MLS area saw residential sales volume of $709 million for the 12-month period ended January 31, 2016 – a 10.8 percent increase over the previous 12 months. The area had an average sales price of $494,685 over the last 12 months.
“We have experienced rapid growth up and down the Waukegan Avenue corridor, and we want greater street presence and more desks for our expanding agent base. We’re already doing a lot of business in Northbrook. A bricks and mortar presence is important to providing the best service to homebuyers and sellers and becoming the No. 1 brokerage firm in the marketplace,” said Mike Golden, co-founder of @properties.
