Dominion Enterprises is Recipient of 2016 Training Top 125 Award
Norfolk, VA (PRWEB) March 08, 2016 -- At Dominion Enterprises, the commitment to employee training and development begins with the executive management team and extends throughout the entire organization. Dominion understands the necessity of having properly trained employees and how it affects recruiting, retention and employee engagement. All of these factors contribute to Dominion’s overall productivity, customer satisfaction and profitability. Every Dominion manager focuses on initiatives to ensure his or her team is well prepared to excel. This commitment is evident in the investments, programs and metrics Dominion focused on over the last 12 months and continues to drive in 2016.
Training magazine, the leading business publication for learning and development professionals, recently recognized Dominion Enterprises as a recipient of the 2016 Training Top 125 award for its outstanding training initiatives. Training magazine annually selects 125 organizations that are committed to leadership development, innovative training solutions, and demonstrable results of training programs. Now in its sixteenth year, the Training Top 125 is the only report that ranks companies unsurpassed in harnessing human capital.
“The 2016 Training Top 125 winners set the bar high on employee training and development,” noted Lorri Freifeld, editor-in-chief of Training magazine. “They consistently design and implement effective programs that engage their employees and yield demonstrable business outcomes. These organizations are a testament to the power of strategic training and development. We salute their passion, commitment and dedication to their employees and the training industry overall.”
This is the second year in a row that Dominion Enterprises made the list. “I am so proud of the work my team does to support the learning and development needs of Dominion Enterprises’ employees. We are excited to be recognized on the Training Top 125 list,” said Melodi Albert, vice president of management development, training and recruiting at Dominion Enterprises.
The Top 125 awards are determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives. Companies that wish to be considered for Top 125 ranking complete a detailed application to be scored both quantitatively (70 percent of total score) by an outside research and statistical data company and qualitatively (30 percent of total score) by Training magazine editors and Top 10 Hall of Fame representatives.
