Lynda Bahr Jewelry Wins Prestigious Award of Excellence
San Gregorio, CA (PRWEB) March 10, 2016 -- This past February at the American Craft Council retail show in Baltimore, Maryland, Lynda Bahr Jewelry was honored with the Council’s and the Society of North American Goldsmiths’ Award of Excellence. Only ten artists out of 660 artists were chosen for this award and Lynda Bahr was the only one in jewelry.
“I was absolutely speechless when they came by my booth and told me I had won the Award of Excellence.” said Lynda Bahr. “I had no idea that I was even in the running, although everyone who is an exhibitor is a possible winner.”
It is always an honor to get juried into this prestigious and highly competitive show and then on top of it to be recognized in such a manner is outstanding. “In a field of over 600 artists, your work truly stood out for your masterful combination of tradition and the unexpected.” said Christopher Amundsen, Executive Director, American Craft Council.
Along with the award she also received a cash prize.
This is not Lynda’s first award. She won the Rosen Groups’ Niche award in 2005. And as far as notoriety goes, still one of her favorites is being featured on the front page of the New York Times Home Section for wedding rings.
