SLCC Men’s Basketball Heads To Kansas for NJCAA Tourney
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) March 09, 2016 -- The Salt Lake Community College men’s basketball team (No. 13) will play their first game in the NJCAA Division I Men’s National Basketball Championship March 14, 1 p.m. (MST) in Hutchinson, Kansas against Northeast Mississippi (No. 20).
The SLCC Bruins were 26-8 in the regular season. “We are excited to be going back to the national tournament,” said Todd Phillips, SLCC head coach. “Our guys are uniting and playing some of their best basketball of the year.” If the Bruins win their first game, the team will advance to face Odessa College (No. 4) on March 15, 5:30 p.m. (MST). The tournament games will be broadcast live at NJCAA TV.
