The American Insurance Association (AIA) announced today that The Hartford’s Chairman and CEO Christopher J. “AIA thanks Mike McGavick for his outstanding stewardship over the past year and is thrilled to have Chris Swift serve as our next Chairman,” said Leigh Ann Pusey, President and CEO of AIA. “Chris’s energy, commitment and proven leadership will be a tremendous asset to AIA and our diverse membership. We’re grateful to have his and The Hartford’s continued support, as well as the support of all our members, as we work to represent the property-casualty industry before all levels of government.”

“This is an exciting time for our industry and I am honored to serve as Chairman,” said Swift. “I look forward to working with the Board of Directors and AIA staff on important policy issues, such as the pace of technological change, cyber security risk and the changing regulatory environment, each of which have important consequences for consumers, our industry and the regulatory community.”
